HELPING CHRISTIAN BOYS THRIVE SUMMIT
FOR THOSE RAISING, INFLUENCING, TEACHING, OR LEADING BOYSComing to North Augusta Saturday, April 28th!
It is a one-day event led by New York Times Best Selling Author Michael Gurian and Pastor Tim Wright. This event is for parents, church leaders, Christian educators, Christian therapists, and all who are raising, educating, discipling, mentoring and working with boys and young men.
Questions the Summit Can Answer:
What do boys need and how are boys needed in the world? Why are boys falling so far behind in education and life? What do boys need from mom, dad, and grandparents as they grow? How do we create a compelling vision for boys? How has God designed a boy’s brain and how does that design impact how we raise boys? How can we create a boy-savvy environment in our congregation? How can we best protect the emotional lives of our boys and young men? How can we strategically call our sons to follow Jesus into manhood?
Eight Key Needs:
Michael and Tim have identified eight key needs in male development that each community must nurture if boys are to succeed in faith, family, school, and life. The Helping Christian Boys Thrive Summit is a one day event that can focus awareness and offer transformation on some or all of these key needs: Protecting the emotional lives of boys; Mother/son, father/son relationships; Adolescent rites of passage for boys; Education that fits boys’ learning styles; Character building and character education; Mentoring systems and male mentoring; How faith communities can help boys; Preparing boys for workplace success.
